From the President and CEO
In 2019, The Morton Arboretum inspired tree champions while advancing its mission to plant and protect trees for a greener, healthier, and more beautiful world. It was an extraordinary year of growth in mission delivery through tree science, conservation, reach, and impact. The Morton Arboretum is among the top cultural institutions in Chicago, one of the top five botanical gardens and arboreta in North America, and the leading Arboretum globally. The Arboretum's impact is made possible through the investment and support of donors, members, and visitors, along with the dedicated efforts of staff, volunteers, and partners.

As one of the most tangible ways to improve the environment, trees are essential to people, communities, and the world. In the year past, and building upon the momentum of recent years, The Morton Arboretum helped people be mindful about and inspired by trees, while leveraging its expertise to study and protect trees throughout the Chicago region and around the globe.
